Ok, I’ve just seen the message at the top of the survey. I think it’s a shame it couldn’t be counted tho (I’m guessing u ran out of allowable options to add?), yes Sony owns the rights for Spiderman atm but it’s still very much a Marvel/Sony collaborative film and I’d argue most of the design decisions came from Feige/Marvel + Disney. It’s still very much an MCU movie, so I think it deserves it’s place in the MCU rankings.
I’ll add it to my ranking in my comment for those who r interested where I’d put it.
This is a really difficult one tho, There are sooo many MCU films out now and so many solo/team up films, it’s kinda difficult to decide how I should be ranking them, based on subjective preferences, or the objective quality of the movie overall. Mmmm decisions, decisions. – I’m super interested to see what the final accumulated results turn out to be!

Here’s how I rated the DCEU films so far:

I was considering putting SS above JL coz I did like the character of El Diablo (I knew NOTHING about him going into this film). But I still feel like objectively the editing was FAR better in JL than SS. SS deffo had the most jarring editing out of all these films and the soundtrack they used didn’t fit what was happening at all and was used, again, really jarringly, and felt out of place. LMAO don’t even get me started on Enchantress’s weird bobbing and swaying during that final scene, that sh*t was unintentionally hilarious! Also,
JL at least gave us the best representation of Superman so far in the DCEU, as he was much more peaceful/humble and confident than we’ve ever seen him before. I LOVED the action in Man of Steel, but I never really felt Clark Kent was represented well, he just seemed too dark and brooding compared to how I’ve always known Clark to be.
In contrast the JL representation of Clark Kent was MUCH more in line with the Clark Kent of old. I actually really wanted to see more of this positive outlook Superman in a future film. I still hope we get the chance to see Cavill as Superman one more time, with a better script to work with than MOS/more of a continuation of his character arc we saw in JL. Tho I suspect that this is the last we have seen of Cavill in that role.
MOS has a LOT of problems admittedly, such as Pa Kent telling Clark he shldn’t have saved those kids on the bus, SMH, that was poor writing. Also Louis wasn’t as capable and badass as she really shld have been. But overall I really enjoyed it. The action scenes/scifi elements were amazing and whilst I don’t like Superman killing, I respected the balls it took to show Superman snapping Zods neck and I did NOT see that coming. It’s rare a movie ever manages to deliver surprises and create WOW moments, but with that decision, for better or worse, this film definitely delivered. This film reignited my passion for Superman, so I’ll always be grateful to it for this.
Last thing I’d note is as a HUGE Flash fan (The Flash is my fav superhero out of ANY superhero from any company), I was honestly disappointed in the JL version. I just didn’t buy Erza Miller in that role, also his costume design was DREADFUL, it lookes like a complete clusterfuck of wires? It just looked dreadful. Also visual decisions, such as the decision to make his lightning Blue instead of Yellow/Orange, really bothered me, as other speedsters have Blue Lightning, but not usually The Flash.
Dceu seem to be going in a fresh new direction, all the Dc movie in the works all seem to have their own style to them. While marvel let’s the directors have their own creative freedom they still have to go through a mcu filter which causes all the movie to feel the same (Shitty Jokes). Dc kinda used to be like this when it was under the control of Zack Snyder but since he’s gone, directors now have the free will to do anything they please. I can’t wait to see what Matt Reeves does with the batman, what Patty does with WW, and what Grant can do with the flash.
It is hard to rank the MCU with exception to the recent addition that is Captain Marvel. I liked all the movies, even the ones that were not as popular, Thor 2, and Incredible Hulk. I have loved Marvel since I was 9 or 10. I only learned about Ms. Marvel in 2012 from the Avengers Alliance game on facebook. She was a good character, to see her portrayed so poorly in both comics and by Brie Larson, its worrisome. I dont like Political Allegory or Identity Politics in my films. And Captain Marvel was both a Political Allegory and Identity Politic movie.
As for the DCEU. BVS theatrical was okay. BVS Extended was better, but not by much. There were some problems, but I looked past them so that I could enjoy the movies. Justice League was okay, but it got campy in ways it didn’t need to.
